This is a traditional, formal bamboo matcha whisk characterised by its slender ergonomic handle, uncurled straight tine tips, and a balanced count of 64 tines.
Unlike standard whisks with tightly looped or curled tips, a Shin Chasen features gradually tapering, uncurled tips and a more gradual curve, giving it a clean silhouette.
The Shin Chasen is the preferred shape for the largest tea ceremony schools in Japan.
